This Saturday...
COFFEE & CONVERSATION REUNION
June's IN PERSON meeting,
June 11th, 10am-12

at St Philips on Scotts Valley Road
And every SECOND SATURDAY in the future.
We've changed the meeting date to the second Saturdays, because the first Saturdays ran into too many holidays!
Look for more info soon.
A NOTE FROM ST PHILIPS...
I'm reaching out to you as users of St. Philip's campus because our Food Pantry has an ongoing need for empty egg cartons, more than our members can supply! Every week we get up to 30 dozen eggs in bulk cases and need to box them up for our distribution Thursday evenings. If you can help us out by recycling your empty cartons with us, rather than your recycling bin, we'd greatly appreciate it!

Life Café:
Discovering what Death can Teach us about Living Fully

On-going monthly conversations about loss, life transitions, and the preciousness of life.
With Chris Flynn and Endel Kallas

June 19th, 3PM

Held the 3rd Sunday of Every month from 3:00 to 4:30pm

$10 per session

Please join the Christine Center spiritual community for meaningful conversations about loss, life transitions, and the preciousness of life. While death is inevitable, it is most often a taboo subject. It is not a comfortable, everyday topic of conversation and it is sometimes hard to know with whom, and where, we can have these tender conversations freely.
In this community of sacred space, we will discuss what death can teach us about living life fully, forging an authentic and meaningful life.
“Death is not waiting for us at the end of a long road. Death is always with us, in the marrow of every passing moment. She is the secret teacher hiding in plain sight.”                              Frank Ostaseski, The Five Invitations.
The good news is that we don’t have to wait until the end of our lives to reveal the wisdom that death has to offer.

An Invitation Email from David Kessler... free to all

Hi Chris,

William Shatner, as Captain Kirk, was certainly one of my childhood heroes. I have continued to be in awe of his career, his resilience, and his wisdom and curiosity.

Join me in this conversation on my podcast, Healing with David Kessler, with William Shatner. We discuss the spectrum of grief, from loss of a job, divorce, addiction, and the death of the spouse. In his 91-years, William Shatner has remained curious and is continuing to gain wisdom.

The nature of life is change. I often say that grief is love and grief is also a change we didn’t want. And yet, the current of life continues even after loss, even after a change.

Thank you for joining me and William Shatner in this powerful conversation. Remember to follow the podcast on Spotify so that you don’t miss an episode.

Warmly,

David
